How to Play

We picked a secret number n between 100 and 600 that is a product of primes less than 100. Use prime guesses to factor n. If your prime divides n, we'll smash the rock and update n ← n / p, and add p to your product. Otherwise, the next hangman part is drawn. You have 20 seconds each turn. Win by finding all prime factors before all 13 parts are drawn. Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic guarantees a unique prime product!

By the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, every integer > 1 factors uniquely into primes.

Quick Tips

Try small primes first: 2, 3, 5 quickly narrow possibilities.
Use divisibility tests: sum of digits for 3 or 9, ends with 0/5 for 5, last two digits for 4, etc.
n shrinks whenever you divide—repeat primes can appear multiple times.
You have 13 mistakes max—plan carefully under the 20s timer.
